Procurement Engineer

Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in specialized procurement of industrial equipment and technical materials for engineering projects, with a focus on cost optimization and efficiency.
  • Experience in all procurement phases, from planning to execution, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Skills in negotiating commercial and technical terms, and coordinating with multiple project disciplines.
  • Competence in selecting and managing suppliers, ensuring quality, deadlines, and resource optimization.​
  • Experience in problem-solving and risk management during the procurement cycle to ensure project success.
  • Advanced ability to tabulate bids and support strategic decision-making.
  • Use of procurement management systems to improve efficiency and traceability.
  • Fluent English.

Principal duties

  • Oversee the entire procurement process for equipment and technical materials for projects, from needs identification to purchase order close-out, in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and bidders to ensure the best commercial conditions in terms of price, delivery times, and contractual clauses, optimizing profitability.
  • Select suppliers through technical and economic analysis, ensuring quality standards and cost efficiency.
  • Request, analyze, and tabulate bids for technical equipment, selecting the most competitive offers.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders, including amendments and close-out, ensuring documentation is updated.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate procurement activities into project development.
  • Manage commercial issues during execution to ensure compliance with agreed terms.
  • Prepare reports on procurement status, costs, and progress to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with legal regulations and corporate policies, maintaining integrity and transparency.
  • Other duties inherent to the position.
