Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the design, planning, and supervision of piping systems in industrial projects, preferably within the oil, gas, energy, or construction sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in piping design and modeling software (CAESAR II, Smart 3D, Navisworks, Cadworx, PDMS, or others).
- Knowledge of international piping standards and codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3, API, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, ISO).
- Experience in stress calculations, flexibility analysis, and static/dynamic analysis of piping systems.
- Sizing and selection of materials, valves, flanges, joints, and fittings.
- Design of pipe supports considering thermal, structural, and operational loads.
- Experience in testing, inspections, and quality control of joints and systems (welding, NDT, pneumatic and hydrostatic testing).
- 3D modeling, clash detection coordination, and technical document management.
- English level B1+.
Location
- 100% on-site in Spain.
Principal Duties
- Design, plan, and supervise piping systems according to technical specifications and applicable regulations.
- Define materials, diameters, thicknesses, and other technical specifications, ensuring efficiency, quality, and market availability.
- Prepare, review, and validate drawings, isometrics, and specifications for piping, supports, and accessories using specialized software (CAESAR II, Smart 3D, Navisworks, Cadworx, or others).
- Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation for clients, contractors, and regulatory entities.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines for the integration of piping systems into the overall project design.
- Supervise and manage on-site assembly and installation, ensuring alignment, welding quality, supports, and compliance with international standards.
- Provide technical guidance in resolving issues during construction, operation, and maintenance phases.
- Assess technical risks related to pressure, temperature, corrosion, and vibration, proposing preventive and corrective solutions.
- Perform inspections, pressure testing, and hydrostatic testing to verify system integrity and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and codes (ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, among others).
- Participate in cost planning and scheduling, providing progress metrics and periodic reports.
- Perform other duties inherent to the position.
