Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering of complex industrial projects, preferably in the oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, fertilizer or hydrogen sectors.
- At least 5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in EPC projects, from the basic design phase to detail engineering.
- Experience in the technical management of key disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical and instrumentation), including interface coordination.
- Strong knowledge and application of international standards such as ASME VIII Div. 1 and 2, API 650/620, EN 13445, PED, and structural and electrical design codes.
- Supervision of the generation and control of technical deliverables: datasheets, drawings, purchase requisitions, material lists, calculations, isometrics, etc.
- Experience in technical bid review, vendor coordination and technical procurement support.
- Active participation in 3D model reviews, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, and technical meetings.
- Knowledge of engineering and modeling tools such as SmartPlant, AVEVA E3D, CAESAR II, PV Elite, AutoPIPE, STAAD.Pro, ETAP, among others.
- Experience in site technical assistance.
- Handling of design and analysis tools.
- English level B2+.
Location
- 100% on-site in Spain.
Principal duties
- Establish the engineering work plan, resources and schedule according to project objectives.
- Supervise discipline leads (piping, civil, mechanical, electrical, process, etc.) and facilitate their integration.
- Review and validate calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation according to standards (ASME, API, PED, etc.).
- Closely coordinate with procurement, construction, planning, quality and client teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Control engineering progress against schedule and budget, proposing corrective actions if necessary.
- Represent project engineering, defending technical decisions and addressing requirements or changes.
- Identify potential issues and lead their technical and contractual resolution.
- Apply lessons learned and propose improvements in engineering processes and tools.
- Promote professional growth, continuous training and cohesion of the engineering team.
- Other activities inherent to the position.
