Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in projects for the petrochemical and/or oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership experience within the discipline.
- Experience in Lump Sum project proposals.
- Proficiency in STAAD PRO, SAP2000, STAAD Foundation Advanced, LS-DYNA / ANSYS, HILTI PROFIS Anchor.
- Knowledge of Codes and Standards such as: AISC 360 (ASD, LRFD), AISC 341, IBC, ACI 318 and others, ASCE 7, ASCE Blast-Resistant Design for Petrochemical Facilities.
Location:
- 100% on-site in Spain.
Principal duties
- Civil and structural quantity estimation (MTO/Material Take-Off).
- Evaluation of geotechnical studies and soil mechanics properties.
- Pile and pile cap design.
- Foundation design for equipment structures and pipe racks.
- Design of combined foundations or Mat Foundations for equipment (Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Horizontal and Vertical Vessels, Compressors, Turbogenerators, etc.).
- Calculation and design of dynamically loaded foundations.
- Design of equipment structures and pipe racks (steel or concrete).
- Design of precast concrete structures.
- Design of Industrial Buildings (including blast-resistant structures in some cases) and Office Buildings.
- Calculation and design of pits for horizontal equipment.
- Design of tanks and sumps for water treatment.
- Approval of structural steel shop drawings and joint calculations.
- Management of structural steel subcontracts.
- Other activities inherent to the position.
