Requirements:
- Degree in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a piping designer in the petrochemical, oil, gas, or related industries.
- Knowledge of piping design, interpretation of P&IDs, and industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Proficiency in SP3D, Caesar II, PDS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, among others.
- English B1+.
Location:
- 100% on-site in Spain.
Principal duties
- Design piping systems in new areas based on P&IDs, equipment plot plans, line lists, material specifications, equipment drawings, civil and structural drawings, client requirements, general specifications, and other project-related documents.
- Develop unit and overall plot plans according to project requirements and specifications.
- Define requirements and elevations of structures and platforms according to unit requirements and project specifications.
- Position equipment and nozzles for piping design.
- Review and resolve clashes in the 3D model.
- Review, comment, and update vendor drawing information in the 3D model.
- Extract isometrics from the 3D model and issue them for construction.
- Develop piping material take-offs (MTO).
- Report engineering status and progress.
- Support project managers in technical coordination with other engineering disciplines and clients.
- Other tasks inherent to the position.
